Residence Pointe Batterie Decription:
Built in 1996 on steeply sloping land near the edge of both the rainforest and the sea, these all-wood villas claim to each contain a veranda, a kitchen, ceiling fans, good beds, and summery furniture made from rattan, local hardwoods, and wicker.
All units have at least a shower/tub combination, the two-bedroom villas have an additional shower unit. The nearest beach, La Grand-Anse, is a 3-minute drive, or a long uphill walk, away.
In addition to the communal pool at Residence Pointe Batterie, some of the villas are said to have their own private pools.
Le Canon de la Baie claims to specialize in Creole food from atop a wooden deck whose pilings are sunk directly into the seabed.
Residence Pointe Batterie Villas:
The villas are of 5 types:
The Studios (30mē) accomodate 2 people (+ baby).
Each one is said to have an air-conditioned room, a kitchenette equipped in the terrace, a sunbed and an external deck.
The Bungalows (60 M2): conceived to sleep 2 to 4 people, are said to be of great comfort. Each one offers an air-conditioned room, a show equipped with 2 bed-settees for guests and a dining room in the terrace, an American kitchen equipped with a hotplate, an electric coffeemaker, and all the ustensils necessary, opening on the terrace, 1 bathroom, independent WC.
All the bungalows at Residence Pointe Batterie profit from a swimming pool deprived with sight on sea.
The villas Juniors: conceived in a way identical to the Bungalows, they do not profit from the swimming pool.
Villa 4 (80 M2): conceived to sleep 2 to 6 people. All have 2 air-conditioned rooms, a show equipped with 2 bed-settees for guests and a dining room in terrace, an American kitchen equipped opening on the terrace or an external deck (with the choice), 2 sunbeds.
All Residence Pointe Batterie Villas 4 have a swimming pool deprived with sight on sea.
Villas 6 (100 M2): these Villas are said to be very roomy, being able to accomodate to 6 people, includes a kitchen equipped with a lava crockery, a microwawe oven, a grid bread, an American bar, three air-conditioned double rooms, three bathrooms and a privative swimming pool with a view of the sea.
