La Toubana Hotel Description:
Built on 2 hectares (5 acres) of sloping land close to the beach (a 5-min. walk on a path carved into the cliff side), the La Toubana hotel is centered around a low-lying stone building on a rocky cliff overlooking the bay and Ste-Anne Beach.
The red-roofed bungalows around the La Toubana Hotel lie scattered among the tropical shrubs along the adjacent hillsides (toubana means "small house" in Arawak); there are 20 garden units and 12 more upscale oceanview units. Each is said to have a kitchenette, French furnishings, a terrace, a rather compact shower/tub combination bathroom, and either two twin beds or one king-size bed. Cots for kids are said to be available on request from staff at the La Toubana Hotel.
There is also a restaurant on the resort which is said to be frequently visited by the guests, Le Baobab restaurant at the La Toubana Hotel claims to offer both indoor and alfresco dining of fine quality in a site overlooking the pool. It has also been said that the restaurant serves the best lobster on the island. The beachfront bar serves tropical drinks and occasionally hosts live entertainment.

"We switched from a "four-star" new hotel to the La Toubana because of its location on a rock overlooking the continuously pounding surf. It was clean, quiet, and restful with very good maid service. The staff was very helpful in every way. Breakfast for a week did not become boring due to the change in decorations and fruit presentations. Chocolate crossants were addictive. Gorgeous pool. Private and intimate yet conducive to meeting other people if one chose."
